Julie concentrates her practice in the area of estate planning and trust administration.

Julie joined the predecessor to Brier & Ganz LLP in 2006.  Prior to that she had been an associate in both the corporate and trusts and estates departments at Hale and Dorr (currently WilmerHale), where she provided a broad range of services to individual clients and their families from basic estate planning to sophisticated asset transfer strategies designed to minimize transfer taxes. Her practice included estate planning for a wide range of clients including founders of successful start-up companies, CEOs of public companies, and multiple generations of family members of closely held businesses, with an emphasis on sophisticated estate and family business succession planning. She has also worked with numerous charitable organizations, providing advice on structure and achievement of tax exempt status to new entities, as well as advising boards of established entities as to their obligations and duties as tax exempt charitable organizations. She has served on the Board of Directors of several tax exempt organizations, including most recently, the Akamai Foundation.

Julie also has extensive experience in trust administration and management. She currently serves as the Trustee of approximately $100 million in family trust assets, and the Manager of several family limited liability companies with over $50 million in invested assets.
